Set to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas, this vibrant picture book features 375 spooky items for kids to find. Follow the little bear as he peeks into each haunted room to find what's hidden throughout the house. You'll have to look closely, especially at the large foldout page at the end, so you don't miss any of the fun. Illustrator Macky Pamintuan brings to life bats, cats, ghosts, zombies, spiders, and much, much more.
The Bottom Line: Little ones will pick up this book time and show more time again. Just when you think you've found all the items, you notice something new. Macky Pamintuan's illustrations are colorful and friendly, making this perfect for younger kids in Preschool and Kindergarten. This counting book is so much fun; I just wish there had been a thirteenth room.

Read for my 365 Kids Book challenge. You can see all the books on their own shelf.
It doesn't seem like it will be sturdy enough for its biggest fans, who will be younger on average. The art is bright, bold, and colorful, the text is brief, rhythmic, and punchy. Bring this one home fully prepared to read it twenty times to your toddler.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame (Americas Favorites) (Americas Favorites) (Americas Favorites) by Ben Nussbaum
In this Smithsonian Institution book, a young boy and his male caregiver – seen only obliquely – go out to a ballgame. The text of the book consists of the lyrics of the popular song. Young children will enjoy the bold eye-catching caricatures that illustrate this story, as well as having the words sung to them. Older children will enjoy the brief appendix, which explains the origin of the song and how it became a baseball tradition.
This is a super cute story about Halloween with a twist of The Twelve Days of Christmas. Children are supposed to find the items hidden in the pictures. There is a bear that peeks into each room to find the items.
