This is not a well written book - fluff characters, fluff plot, fluff family - but it is fun. Basically a, 30 year old woman is still living with her parents - never having a job, having everything paid for finds out she is the Reincarnation of Kali. Of course, there is an unwanted arranged marriage and a Pride and Prejudice Plot line to go with it. Read this book if you are looking for a fast fluff story that does something different with the plot, but know its really not well written.
Seems like lots of people have good things to say about this book. Me too. I adore the voice, it's very fun and irreverent. The premise is wacky and thoroughly enjoyable (hey, who wouldn't want to be a goddess of destruction??), and she paints a glorious, rich picture without overplaying the ethnic card. I felt the book slacked off a bit in the final third, and I couldn't quite get into the hero and what made him a great love interest, but overall, an excellent rad. I'll definitely be show more checking for her next one, too! show less

Fun, easy read. I loved Anjula's attitude and Coulter is fun and sexy. A quick easy read about a paranormal research agency.
