I Can Be President, Too! is such an awesome book! I love that this book inspires the babies to dream big dreams and it also shows them a way to make it come true. The kids in the book are basically campaigning to be president. Miss Lucy Villaflor is a 9 year old girl who says vote for her because she is a sharer, fundraiser and baker. This book has demonstrated to kids how to display your best attributes to gain a following. These kids are far from an actual campaign train in this book but show more it shows the dream and how it can become reality with a little bit of work. This book teaches kids to look at themselves in such a positive light and in today's society that is much needed. show less

This is one of the books in the Amazing Adaptations! series; this particular book covers sea creatures with fins and flippers. From bigger sea life like seals and dolphins to smaller species of fish, the book has beautiful, brightly colored pictures and features all sorts of fun sea life. This is for younger readers, with relatively simple text that explains the use of fins and flippers, and how they benefit sea life.
I think I'll use this book when I want to teach students how we can creatively build students' background knowledge with experiences they may not have had, but need to in order to support their comprehension or ability to write about a topic, etc.
This book is a great resource to use when teaching about presidents and elections. It features different boys and girls that want to be president. They talk about their qualities and are looking for your vote!
