It explains what carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen are and then it gives a description of the different cycles. It also gives important elements that go into the different cycles like, photosynthesis, respiration, and decomposition. Review: I thought this book was very informational. It gave the readers a lot of information about the different topics and the main point was informing the readers on what the carbon-oxygen and nitrogen cycles were. The book also gave a lot of visuals to help the readers understand what it was about. For example, on page 5 there is a pie graph that shows how much carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen are in the atmosphere. Page 7 and 11 show the different cycles and how they move through the atmosphere. There are also little bubbles on each picture that explains what the picture is about. On some of the pages there is a "Did you know?" section that gives the readers interesting facts. Lastly, I thought the glossary in the back of the book was important for the reader because it would be helpful to define unknown terms that were bolded throughout the text. show less
