Kalle Dixelius

This is a really good book with multiple surprises. It is an interesting mixture of thriller, science fiction and detective story with a fair amount of humour and social commentary added. The four-year wait after "Toffs bok", the first novel by Kalle Dixelius, was worth it!

Skön bok om superhjältar på svensk mark. vet inte om det gjort förr, men kul är det. Vi får följa James McDougals väg till sådan anonymitet att han bokstavligt talat försvinner. Gemensamt med några andra figurer befann han sig som barn på Furuviks Camping samtidigt som Tjernobylolyckan. Många år senare återförenas de och har nu fått märkliga egenskaper.

Åsmund Kåresson is “he, who marks stones”. He learned his skills from his father. He raises stones, skillfully carving runes at the time of the greatest upheaval in Scandinavian history, when christianity replaced the old nordic traditions.

I really liked this book and highly recommend it!
