Torturing animals is never a good thing, and well, that is the message of this little rhyming book by Margaret Chamberlain. I adore the illustrations, but really feel the text is lacking, and almost too cute sounding for the topic being dealt with. The rhymes are clever, but a few would need some explaining to the preschool set ("Don't madden Mutley"). Nevertheless, the pictures are quite funny. If nothing else, check the book out for that!
I like the big text, the alliteration, and the rhyming. Great, bold illustrations will reach the back row of your story time audience. The message: be nice to your pets.
Please Don't Tease Tootsie by Margaret Chamberlain is a cute tale about how to treat your pets with love and care. It shows how kids can treat their pets and tease them which can result in their pet getting angry. In this story it shows how to care and love for your pets!
