I've loved this book since I first read it when I was seven or eight. I love all of Mary O'Hara's books, especially Wyoming Summer. What an interesting, fascinating life she led! I'd love to see a movie about her! Ken, the dreamy drifty boy, who grows up through his love for his horse Flicka, his mother and his demanding father are written about with such perception that lines from the book stick with me forty-five years later..
Ken's mother, Nell, manages to persuade his father Rob to let him choose a colt from the herd for himself. He instead chooses a sorrel chestnut filly, who becomes injured soon after. Can Ken nurse the filly back to full health?
2024 movie #187. 1955. Tarzan rescues a white girl lost in the jungle while stopping animal poachers. Gordon Scott's first Tarzan (of 6). Fun facts: Scott and Vera Miles got married while filming this; Cheeta was played by Zippy but will be back for the next Tarzan.
An American bomber pilot, who sees his brother machine-gunned to death, escapes a concentration camp with a beautiful Russian doctor, and exacts his revenge by shooting down a mysterious German flight mission led by his brother's killer. (fonte: Imdb)
