Could very easily have been a great adventure movie, if they had been a bit harsher in the editing room and cut a lot of the unnecessary stuff. (Unfortunately for a movie with only two female characters, the most blatantly unnecessary stuff mainly surrounds Bonham Carter's character, so had they cut it the film would only have had the one ...) As it is, it's still pretty fun and watchable, and worth it for the amazing fifteen minute remix of the William Tell overture in the finale.

Utterly mediocre. Godzilla portrayed as a dumb animal that has to be directed by Kong and the human cast to get things done. This is, above anything, a KONG movie, not a Godzilla one. The human characters felt flat, boring, and acted like idiots. The monster fights were decent, however, and the visuals were good.
An absolute classic that impresses me on every rewatch. Everything I want in a swashbuckling adventure film is present here.
Two Spaniards pose as gods to try to rob Native Americans.

2/4 (Indifferent).

It has some charming moments, but never enough to pull me in. A lot of it is perfunctory and boring.
