A fascinating, well written account of the founding of Fairbanks, Alaska in the early 1900's. Follows the life of ET Barnette, the trader who established the town, and establishes what life and transportation was like in this gold rush period which contributed to the development of Alaska. Loaded with black and white pictures, that also add a dimension to the story. Quick-read, well worth while!
