The book opens well, with a supposed description of the author's early life. I wish I could believe it. While he lists explanations/causes for many ailments (making a lot of noise about how modern science will someday soon discover what he's now telling us) the majority of his cures involve fruits and naturopathic herbs (but mostly blueberries) and a waiting time of at least 6 months before we can expect to see any results. And, I will admit that I cannot disprove any of his assertions--and show more I actually don't want to even try--but it's just so easy for one to say "it didn't work for you because you didn't follow the instructions well enough, or long enough." Or maybe it's something in me that finds blueberries as a too facile cure-all. With that said, I'm having blueberries with my breakfast every morning--just in case. show less
"Medical communities have yet to discover . . ." but THIS guy's got it all figured out. Uh huh. This author is a predator preying on people who are desperate for answers. Stay away.
Anthony William’s, Medical Medium, breathes freshness, clarity, and deep understanding into an often hot and misunderstood topic: mystery illness. I have suffered for over two decades with an undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, and over-diagnosed illness. And I know I am not alone. Upon just finishing this book, I feel heard, understood, and in congruence with the simple yet also deceivingly complex wisdom in these pages. This is an important conversation that needs to happen. We need to help those show more who suffer in the doldrums of illness. Keep an open mind and heart as you delve into this book. His spiritually-guided advice is helpful and clear, a welcome addition to any repertoire of knowledge and healing modalities and methods. Much gratitude to Anthony William for his courage, dedication, and respect for all of us who suffer, by putting out a book truly worthy of our attention. show less
I gleaned only a very little from this one. Had to google whether EBV was actually a conspiracy based on the urgency he used to describe how it's overlooked in current medicine. Did actually learn more about it. I appreciate questioning and spirituality, but felt there were too many obvious gaps in William's perspective for me to trust him. Maybe all the celebs in the FIVE pages of reviews that start the book see something in him in person that is truly compelling, but as a reader who isn't show more famous or wealthy I had a challenging time trusting his compassion through writing. The truth is, maybe I just love eggs too much to give them up on the word of a medium. This will at least motivate me to hydrate better. Maybe I'll eat more vegetables too, but he seemed to be teetering on the edge of cult propogandizing so it was hard not to feel suspicious. show less
