- Fay Baker was born in 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from American University in 1967 with a BA in Education. She taught 4th and 5th grade in Montgomery County, Maryland for several years. In 1993 she received and MA in Social Work from the University of Maryland. She worked for several agencies as a social worker before retiring in 2001. She and her husband of 41 years have two sons and three incredibly smart and gifted grandchildren.
