"Macbeth", William Shakespeare (Critical Essays) by Linda Cookson
There are ten essays in this book, and a guide to essay writing. I have an interest in the historical side of the play, and enjoyed the piece titled "Macbeth as royalist propaganda". The author states Duncan was king for 6 years, and Macbeth for ten yrs. This is consistent w Holinshed and other sources. Poor Macbeth got dissed by WS for political expediency ....
