Dede Smith

Dede Smith is an American photographer and photojournalist. She was educated at the University of Florida, and graduated with a degree in Journalism and Communications specializing in Photojournalism. She was a staff photographer at Charlotte Sun, Fort Myers News-Press, Ocala Star-Banner and Gainesville Sun before moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 2003 to be the Director of Photography for the Florida Times-Union. She also works in real estate and commercial photography, and is the owner of Dede Smith Photography. Her sole book credit is Verna Aardema's A Bookworm Who Hatched, published in 1992.
