This issue represents only a few stories that complete the whole Tales From the Crypt series. It felt like being brought back in time where comics were known to have a distinct format to the them. Reading "Nincompoop" as an insult made me realize how different speech was in the past. There are various colors that depict the chilling and horror-filled emotions, such as the blue and cool tones that characters take up whenever something is revealed or frightens them. I find it interesting at show more the amount of lines and hatch marks used to indicate intensity within the backgrounds of each panel! Color is used throughout this issue number, similar to how one would see Superhero comics from the past. It is nostalgic to have read this comic, but overall the fear factor is not as intense as the material that can be seen today. There is no comparison, some stories being predictable, but I can certainly see the appeal for science fiction fans to gravitate towards this series. show less
Classic pulp horror. Fun stories, but they begin to blend together.
