Another book I finished on break at work. Overall not a bad collection of his writings/sayings... but... well, the prevailing notes/introduction, etc, just has this very pretentious and "holier than thou" sense to it. Byng constantly remarking in the introduction (and even in the notes a few times) about how great Confucius is, and how he's so far above Buddha, Lao Tzu, Jesus, Socrates, etc.... it just gets kind of old. Plus literally having a 4+ page single-paragraph during the introduction show more is just horrible editing/writing (especially in a book format this big too). show less
