worth every penny: If only this book was available 20 years ago when I moved to Florida, the time and money I would have saved would have paid for it multiple times. Finally a book that is specific to our hot sun, pool decks, and frequent showers. After reading this book I re-did my pool enclosure container garden using many plants that I already had and it has never looked better. For example, I never thought of mixing bromeliads with my potted flowers even though I've got many varieties show more crawling all over the property, as do most of my neighbors. I was looking for a basic book about container gardening, and this fit the bill! I especially like that it advises which vegetables Crawford recommends growing in pots and which she doesn't. Recommend for a gardening "beginner" not for a pro!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. If you are a gardener living in the South I highly recommend this book.
