Jerry Doyle (1898-1986), a native Philadelphian and self-taught graphic illustrator, penned daily cartoons for the Philadelphia Record and the Philadelphia Daily News from the mid-1930s to the early 1980s. His cartoons and illustrations also graced the pages of some of the nation's leading magazines — Collier's, Time, and The Saturday Evening Post.
