Rui has used the excuse of going to the same boarding school as her parental arranged fiancée, only to find said fiancée to be obsessive and controlling. Determined to take advantage of her one and only chance to live away from her home, she decides to try and avoid Natori Nijo (fiancée) and enjoy it while she can. One way she has found to do this is to join the Public Relations Club. However, things don't turn out the way she intended and she is immediately downgraded to the basement show more Believers Club, which has some unusual participants including three apathetic girls and two mysterious ex-computer club boys. The good news is that her new fellow groupies are determined to help her stay out of the clutches of her fiancée; the bad news is that he just won't give up.
I wasn't entirely sure if this would be a theme that I would like, but since I was taking it out from the library I figured no harm, no foul. The only problem with this theory is the fact that I did, in fact, really enjoy the manga and only the first volume is available, meaning that if I want more of the story (which I do) I have to buy them *sigh*. The characters in this all seemed multi-dimensional and it was, to me, a very unique take on the "boarding school" storyline. Even Rui's dictator fiancée took on a more human aspect near the end of the story, for a few moments anyway. I'm also quite curious to see how the manga-ka works more robots into the storyline, it seems to be something she's determined to do.
The artwork is very easy to look at, the characters all have their own appearances (which is a huge plus in my book) and Rio looks quite similar to Fai from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles which, along with his slightly dysfunctional personality, immediately endears me to him. show less
