Ralph Lane has done it again, and this time he’s turned his humorous book writing attention to the most important person in our lives growing up, our mothers.

In the author’s Mother Day Gift Book there’s a collection of various fun morsels all geared towards and created around MOTHERS, especially endearing are the fun and inspirational quotes, historical Mother Day tidbits, a few bios of famous moms thru history. And on the fun show more side, the author has included a crossword puzzle, word search, and or course several Mom riddles.

Dads, while serving the mother of your children breakfast in bed, buying her gifts, taking her out for a dinner without the children [get a babysitter] might be marvelous; you should give her a gift which will always amuse her going forwards. And in order to do so, consider buying a paperback edition of this book so your children can give their Moms it as a gift.

Before Valentine’s Day this year, being a romance author, I felt the need to begin getting in the mood for Valentine’s Day, at the same time by inner-child wanted to satisfy its desire to read something new. So, in my search on Amazon, I found this author’s joke book for Valentine’s Day, which had satisfied both my needs.

With Easter approaching I once again wanted to find something which would satisfy the needs of myself and that of my inner-child for a fun Easter book to read to get show more in a humorous mood for the holiday. So, when I saw, another Holiday Book compiled by this author, Ralph Lane, I became EGGS-CITED and immediately bought a copy.

For adults, this book is a nostalgia trip, with jokes we used to tell as a child, and fun wordplay; for children it’s a book fraught with new jokes and riddles they can have fun telling their friends. In short, this book is for all ages, especially where an amusing gift would be a wonderful, such as a get-well gift, a gift to just cheer someone up, or even a gift for oneself; which is why I’ve given this compilation of Easter jokes and riddles by author Ralph Lane 5 STARS. show less

So, in my search on Amazon, I found this book by Ralph Lane, “Dad Jokes: Valentine's Day Gift Book,” which happened to satisfy both of my needs.

Valentine’s Day, isn’t it the day which we as adults think about romance and our love for our dear OHs [other show more half]? And as children, didn’t we love hearing and telling jokes and riddles about almost everything there is, which is why I’ve loved reading the sweet, innocent nature of what this book contains and seeing the small illustrations which enhance each item.

Example: Q: Why shouldn’t you fall in love with a pastry chef?
A: She’ll “dessert” you.

Q: Why shouldn’t marry a tennis player?
A: Because “love” means nothing to them.

As children, most of us wouldn’t have understood the subtle meaning of the above items. While I’d have wanted the book to contain more jokes, riddles and quatrains [4-line poems], I still giving this book 5 STARS. show less

I first found this book in a local gift shop. Now I ordered (from Amazon) multiple copies to give as gifts for Valentine's Day. Everyone loves it!!! Literally... everyone. It's such a great valentine gift.
