Reviews
Although Catching the Light, has been on prize lists in the "children's book" category, I read it as an easy-reading adult book, and I think the labelling as middle-grade reading may be unfortunate.
Artistic Cathy is growing up a loner in small-town Newfoundland, while classmate Hutch is the golden boy who can do no wrong. Their paths intersect casually in childhood and in a more meaningful way as they reach adulthood.
