I have to be honest, here- I only bought this book because I get stopped in (mostly) airports by people who want my autograph, thinking I am Shannen Doherty. This disturbs me, as I don't think we look that much alike and she seems to have such a reputation as a real bitch.
The reputation may be deserved, and she admits that, but the book is cute enough and self-effacing enough that I no longer get offended when this happens. And I do try to be kind to people about it- maybe I can salvage her show more reputation for her, just a bit. show less

This was a no nonsense, no holds barred book. I like the positive energy of it. It has an edge, without being overly bitchy. It got to be repetitive at some points, but I did enjoy the variety of subjects. There are a lot of really nice photos in this as well, some casual, some professional. The book has a very good balance to it.
This book was so fun to read! I love all the advice Shannen gives about being yourself and being confident. I thought this was a fun read! Even though this was not a tell all book or a memoir/biography, I did learn some things about Shannen and her childhood. It good to see that she learned from her mistakes and grew from them. That was definitely something I learned from this book. I like Shannen even more after reading this book!
I could barely make it halfway through this book. I could not stand to read the word badass one more time. This is a very poor spin on a self-help book and it was not even remotely entertaining. It seemed more self-centered than self-help.
