This book tells the story of a little girl who has an alcoholic mother and who's family is in turmoil as a result. It also deals with the mother going to rehab. I liked this book much better than Don't Hurt Me Mama, as I felt it portrayed a more realistic situation. It ends with the girl's father telling her that when mom comes home she is going to need a lot of support from those who love her and that she may not be better immediately. To me, it just offered a more realistic perspective. I show more myself have had an alcoholic parent and I know that everything is not always perfect and that it is a day by day process, just as this book describes.
