I bought this book because I am in the process of switching from Windows to Linux. I am doing it with the Ubuntu version. This book is filled with a lot of good solid info on how to migrate from windows and how to tweak and get more out of Ubuntu. Some instructions start with assumption that you know how to use the terminal command line in linux. But if you are a patient & careful reader you dig out how to get it done. Overall a very helpful resource book.
An excellent book for anyone wanting to tune and explore Ubuntu Linux. This first edition is getting a little dated now; buy the latest edition!
I like the "hacks" series of books, and this is a good one. Many of the tips are quite elementary though.
