When John Sweetman worked for Murakami-Wolf he didn't expect to end up in the Gardai, but his training in art would stand him in good stead in his career as a forensic expert in the Gardai. His story is interlaced with a certain amount of depression and his life doesn't run on smooth rails throughout. You can read some frustration with some of the methods he's forced to accept and that sometimes get between him and his job. It's a hard life and a hard thing that he has to do but he was show more gifted at it and for a long while it gave him satisfaction. It was an interesting read and would be useful for anyone wanting to set a mystery in Ireland. show less
