The three hundred black and white photographic illustrations, advertised on the back-cover as selected among more thean four thousand, are all lousily reproduced. The darkest part are never very dark, but still puts a lot of details in total darkness. The light parts having the same effect, details being etched out in a bright fog. The haphazard way the pictures are being arranged on the pages, seemingly without any graphic relation to each other, does not make for much visual exitement show more either. Sad, because many of the photographs deserved a lot better treatment. The book is of some size and weight, and gives the impression of being bound, but it is not. show less
