Reviews
The reviewer of this book in New Theatre Quarterly made a good point when he said that it should rightfully have been published as a database than a hardback. It chronicles the production choices of 278 contemporary performances of Shakespeare viewed by the author, itemizing aspects as macro as scene deletions and re-arrangements and as micro as syllabic emphases of certain words. Very interesting as raw data, but pretty much entirely lacking of analytical reflection.
