Brother Williams was an honor graduate of Freed-Hardeman College (University). He received the B.A. from Union University and the M.A. from East Texas State College (University). One of the most productive works of his career was his teaching English and Bible at Freed-Hardeman from 1957-63. He also served as Chairman of the English Department. Brother Williams was a popular and successful teacher. His classes filled early at registration. Brother Williams is sound in the faith, studious, highly intelligent, dedicated, capable, humble and optimistic. We salute this talented preacher of the gospel who is committed to doing as Paul charged Timothy, "Preach the Word".

For over four decades I have esteemed and respected brother Williams as a good friend, encourager, and a great servant of the Lord. --- E. Claude Gardner
