Stephen A. Smith's memoir of his life growing up in the Hollis neighborhood of Queens, his getting out, going to college, and moving up to ESPN.

I found this enjoyable. I knew almost nothing about Mr. Smith besides he worked on ESPN. I found his story interesting. I liked how he says his truth and moves on. I liked that he shares his mistakes as well as his triumphs. His lessons are ones we all need to learn.

I cried as he talked of his mother and her passing. I was glad he came to reconcile show more his feelings for his father. I was a bit like his sisters on what he was going to say at his father's funeral. I liked that he gave credit to others for their help and their wisdom.

This is a book everyone should read. It is enlightening. I came away with a respect for the man.
