The plot has big holes, the non-Columbo characters are boring, and there's a lot of stalling to fill up time. But this time around (this is the 2nd Columbo movie) they recognize that Falk is the star, and he's entertaining enough to make it worth watching.

Columbo is great, despite being not quite fully formed (this is his first TV movie). The story isn't particularly gripping, and doesn't give Falk enough screen time.

This is the compelling story of Jesse Owens, a man who overcame racial barriers to become one of history's greatest Olympic athletes by disproving Adolf Hitler's theory of Aryan athletic superiority through his success in track and field. (fonte: Imdb)
