It's true! Gardening is magic! Whether it's growing flowers, or vegetables, or figuring out how to overwinter a fig tree in a colder climate, it's not as easy as it looks. But it's definitely worth learning about and attempting to master!

A lovely, thoughtful story. Nice depiction of an intergenerational friendship.

This intriguing book was about a girl who shadowed her neighbor planting his garden. He planted a fig tree and after the season he buried it. Snow fell and later that spring he dug it up and put it in the ground. A true magician because new leaves appeared.
