Douglas W. (Doug) Smith is a professor of Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design (A&E CAD) at Austin Community College (ACC) in Austin, Texas. Mr. Smith is the Chair of the A&E CAD program at ACC, and the Director of ACC's AutoDesk Training Center. In 1989, Mr. Smith, along with Tony Ramirez, co-founded the Authorized AutoDesk (CAD) Training Center at ACC. Prior to joining the faculty at ACC, Mr. Smith worked for the City of Amarillo, Austin Research Engineers, Widelite, Tracor and Texas State Technical College (Amarillo). Mr. Smith holds a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a Bachelors degree from Texas State University, and an Associate degree from Texas State Technical College.
