Short biography
Lynne Díaz-Rico is Professor of Education at California State University,
San Bernardino where she coordinates the M. A. in Education, Teaching
English to Speakers of Other Languages program. Dr. Diaz-Rico obtained
the M. A in Education from Arizona State University and the Ed.D. from
InterAmerican University in Puerto Rico. Currently she serves as Past
President of the professional organization California Teachers of English to
Speakers of Other Languages. She is a well-known presenter at local,
statewide, and international conferences on such topics as innovative
practices in teacher education, equity in education, and intercultural
education and author of texts such as Strategies for Teaching English
Learners, Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development Handbook,
and Course for Teaching English Learners (Pearson).
