Nicholas P. Carter received the BS, MS, and PhD degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991, 1991, and 1999, respectively. He is currently an assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests focus on reconfigurable computing, computer architecture, and computing with nonsilicon devices. He is a member of the IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society.
