Jesus Christ, this story was an emotional whirlwind. I have read quite a bit of dark contemp erotica recently and they sometimes left me with a bad aftertaste, or a need to have a Xanax chased by a glass of wine just to breathe again.

When i read the blurb for this book i was intrigued and braced for another angsty beat-me-down-and-love-me-cause-i-need-it type of story.

Well, I was wrong, and I am glad that i was wrong. This is a fucked up story, it really is, and somehow i am left wondering show more just how the hell did I come to name a 'snatch and rape' story in one of the top "Feel-good" books of 2013????!!!

Warren did some good writing in this one, it was highly sexual, without being oversexed, dark without being brutal, deeply emotional even in it's ugliest bits....

This book blew my socks off, and i loved every minute of it.

Well-executed parody of the generic romcom formula, with a stellar cast. The comedy tends more towards smile-and-nod-appreciatively than laugh-out-loud, though, even though it clearly wants to aim for the latter. All in all it's good fun, with some really funny scenes scattered throughout, but this really should (and could!) have been funnier and zanier overall. The DVD thankfully included over a half hour's worth of deleted scenes, about half of which were funnier than 90% of the actual show more film -- had the funniest 10-15 minutes of these been included (and some of the weaker stuff cut), this movie would have been really great. But I suppose comedy is subjective. show less

Ok, really I had no business reading this as the subject isn't my thing. But I've never read something like this before, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm sorry I did.
Firstly, I don't get what everyone was so excited about, it was slow, depressing, and very little happened. And what did was terrible. And what wasn't terrible, was just uninteresting. And...

.................................Spoiler Alert......................
How is it even remotely possible that every person she met raped show more her? I mean, my own mother was raped over 6 times (not kidding) and so I get the world can be a dangerous place, but I just couldn't suspend my disbelief to think that 3 out of 3 guys she came into contact raped her. And I live a very secluded life as well, and I just felt the whole premise of her innocence was over blown too.

I didn't like the book, not the writing (which I thought was decent, but weak and lacked any emotional connection to me. I didn't care about anyone, and in fact was fed up with it all) and I didn't like the way the story unfolded. The plot was ok, but again, I don't see what the fuss and interest is in this book.
