Like it's t.v series, the characters in this book have unique traits and interact to resolve conflicts and problems that come up as they interact with one another. With that being said, I really enjoyed this story as it shows the importance of friendship and conflict resolution. In the beginning of the story Erin's messiness causes a rift between both characters which leads to bad problem solving. Eventually the two reunite and handle situation a better way which shows readers that they can show more workout their problems positively show less
Ernie's search for a mop turns up some surprising items as his misunderstanding friends try to help.
A cute Children's book that shows that Big Bird has good friends. Big Bird is depressed, because he can't play with his friends because he is too big. Then his friends come to the rescue by making the games bigger.

This is a good book to read to a small child or to have the begging reader pick up themselves. The words are easy to read with big print and is proportionate to the pictures. The pictures are also consistent with the story so even if the young reader struggles with the words, show more inferences can be made as to what is going on. show less
This reminds me of the "telephone game". Bert asks Ernie for a mop to clean up some spilled milk. Ernie asks another character who mishears his request and as each character asks the next for what they thought Bert needed, what Bert needs changes.
