I loved this book because it shows that sometimes not everything is better just because it is bigger. Nino's family had a pizzeria and when they wanted to expand it turned out to be crazy and hectic and hey ended up downsizing again to the perfect shop that they had before. Best for children 3-5 years old.

In the story, the little boy’s father gets a great opportunity to expand his business. At first this seems like the best idea ever! But soon the boy realizes that every time he tries to help in the kitchen, or cleaning, or waiting tables, he gets in the way. He becomes very sad and a little resentful of his father. Through learning how to regulate his emotions he soon understands that change is good and him and his father regain the relationship and dynamic they once had together. This show more book promotes making inferences about the feelings and intentions of others and viewing a situation from more than one perspective, seeing the viewpoint of another person. This book is good for children age 4-7. The illustrations are colorful and fun and help to bring in context.

A story about a boy who likes helping his dad in the restaurant until the restaurant gets so successful that it is sold. This story is easy to read, with few words on the page so children do not find it intimidating. The illustrations are colorful and capture the mood of the story. I use it to compare and contrast and economics.

Little Nino's Pizzeria is a heart warming story about what is truly important when running a family business. Moral support is used in this story.
