A haunting collection of haikus and vibrant slice of life prose that poignantly observes the natural world, including animals, weather, and the familiar patterns of a marriage.
The author decided to create a collection of haikus, one for each board in the curve of his canoe. The poems are heavy with meaning but light and go down easily. Reading them evokes the gentle lapping of water against the sides of a boat, soothing and meditative.

I found this author in a collection of haiku and was immediately transfixed by his exquisite control of language. This short collection of his poetry does not disappoint. There is so much illuminating wordplay and sparkling imagery in these pages.
