A snarky, fun read seeped in romance, spice, sarcasm and adventure, this one keeps you thoroughly entertained from start to finish! Good vs evil and all the shades between fuel both the plot and characters while propelling the story with real momentum. The epigraphs between chapters are as entertaining as they are foreboding. The details, wrapped in magic and adventure, bring the world to life vividly, while the characters' varied gifts and unique personalities add just the right amount of show more angst to the mix.
I enjoyed this rather unorthodox romance, it kept me laughing and engaged until the end.
*I received an arc through NetGalley for an honest review.

This book is an impossible to put down enemies to lovers romance with unforgettable characters and witty humor, all wrapped into a spicy package. Kazimir Blackrose thought he had everything he needed for world domination, only to discover that he needs one last pesky thing - a wife. Arabella Evenfall doesn't need a man, thank you very much - she'd much rather set them on fire. These two prove that opposites do, in fact, attract. Sometimes more than anyone expects. With a lady that is capable show more of saving herself and a villain with (gray) morals, this is an enjoyable read for romantasy fans. Can't wait for the continuation of this story! show less
Of Kings and Thieves by Tiffany Hunt is the second book of the Wanderers of Ruin series. This is an adult romantic fantasy that continues the story of the lost prince Col and Part-Siren Samara, whose fates are intertwined. Tropes include secret identity, found family, political intrigue and a bonded connection. Do check trigger warnings before reading, and this is an adults only book.

The Lovely: I loved the characters, especially as we met more of Col’s friends (Scarlet is hysterical). Col show more and Samara’s relationship is spicy, but also so sweet and caring. He helps her to try to develop and become more as a member of their group, and in doing so, helps himself. In addition, the plot and tension were perfect. I loved the unique (and surprising) way the author brought Col and Samara back together (at least for a time), and their connection. The tension built over the course of the book to what the reader could tell would be the major conflict.

The Mundane: The world building in terms of imagery was much improved in this second book although I would have liked to learn more about the newly introduced characters.

The Dreadful: nothing. zip. nada.

Rating: 5/5 Stars. 4/5 Flames.

Recommendation: I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This experience of reading this second book exceeded that of the first book and the first book was amazing. It’s hard to describe how the relationship in this book makes me feel except to say it’s all the warm fuzzies. I’m amazed at how the author fits such a complete and wonderful story into what is a relatively short book (343 pages). If you love romantasy with a sweet couple that is utterly devoted to each other, and/or you want a quicker read, this series is for you.

Very similar vibes to Assistant to the Villain series, but still different. Arabella is a strong FMC who stands up to the MMC and still manages to change and fall in love. The MMC also maintains his villainous nature while make slight changes as he falls for Arabella. The plot moves quickly and keeps the reader interested, the ending was satisfying yet still enough of a cliffhanger to know more.
