4 "Promising Debut to Another MC Series" Stars.

I have to say I'm a total MC romance lover, but what really intrigued me about this read, was the unique set-up for this story. Namely, the heroine's flight from a controlling, psychotic first husband, who was attempting to turn her, one piece at a time, into the splitting image of his dead first wife. In particular, I wanted to see how Emily Minton would weave this auspicious start with the romance, as presumably, a woman fleeing a controlling show more ex would likely fight falling straight into a controlling, alpha MC biker's arms. Interestingly, Ms. Minton makes it all work, and also introduces us to some very interesting secondary characters along the way, who will no doubt form the basis of Savage Outlaw books to come. I, for one, hope we will get to hear Lock's and Tag's story soon!

Laura gave up everything, including her innocence, at the tender age of 18 for her family. When her father's boss threatened to fire him, and along with that loss terminate her parents' healthcare, Laura knew she had to cave in to his demands that she marry him if her mother was going to have any chance to fight her Chronic Kidney Disease. What she didn't understand was just to what extent Marcus, a man twenty-seven years older than Laura, expected her to go to to live up to his perfect wife demands.

After undergoing numerous surgeries to change her appearance to look more like his beloved "Gwendolyn", Marcus' first wife, Laura had had enough and knew she had to get away before he insisted on even more drastic measures for ensuring her transformation. So after years of isolation from her family at Marcus' demand, Laura finally reached out to her bother, Jeremy, with her sad story.

Jeremy "Lock", a police officer, entrusts Laura to the only man he would trust with his own life, Bowie. Bowie is now the VP of the Savage Outlaw MC. Although they work for different sides of the law now, Bowie and Jeremy became friends in the military where they depended on each other daily.

Bowie reluctantly takes Laura, but determines he is going to have nothing to do with the rich "ice" queen while she is in his care. So he sends her off to live with Nina, a woman who while she may not have birthed him, has been the only mother he has really ever known. Additionally, Laura is forced to assume a new alias, Shay, for her safety. It is at Nina's, that others, including Bowie's Savage Outlaw MC brothers, begin to take notice of Shay's special charm, as her purported icy facade (forced upon her by Marcus), slowly melts away as she acclimates to once again regaining control over her life.

Bowie had at one time filled his nights in the military with dreams of Laura. Although he initially thought that his dreams would never be met, once she starts warming up, he begins to see her again for who she really is. Soon his need to protect, and Shay's need to be cared for, ignite a passion between them. But can Bowie keep her safe from her psychotic ex-husband who has unimaginable resources and is clearly obsessed with his perfect "Gwendolyn" replica? As if that weren't bad enough, Bowie will also have to fend off danger from an unimaginable source in his own backyard and who has set his sights on punishing Bowie via Shay. Moreover, as Shay begins to learn what it means to be "claimed" by a MC biker, will she be willing to hand over control of her life once again to another man?

I found Beautiful Outlaw to be a truly enjoyable read. Both the "club business" and psycho ex-husband, suspense aspect of this read kept me engaged and eagerly reading to see how this story would end. Additionally, the passion/romance part of this novel was also generally well developed.

I can't wait for the next book in this series which will recount Tin Man's story!

After reading Dirty Bastard I couldn't wait to start on Addy and Brew's story in Filthy Bastard, and it was an amazing story. If you've read Dirty Bastard you'll notice the story runs parallel and the first few chapters remind you of the plot and how Addy and Brew met and new added info about their lives. Addy especially has had a difficult time.

Brew was a wonderful character, a bit of a conundrum, he's a tough biker and he'll do anything for his brothers but he also can also be a gentle show more giant.
The last thing Addy expected was to be kidnapped by a scary biker and can't wait to escape, but when she spends time with him her feelings change and she begins to fall for him.

I loved this book. It's a love story that is full of emotion and at times it is heart wrenching. A great story, I loved it. Warning, tissues are required when reading this book! 5/5

The Grim Bastards MC have me hooked! Boz is the President of the club and he's one tough motherf*@ker, the rest of his men are just as rough and don't take c"#p from anyone. The only person that drives him nuts is his ex wife, and he wishes she would just leave him alone, and one he can't forget, a woman who's never left his mind since their first meeting years ago, but life's problems got in their way and a relationship was not to be.
Trix never forgot Boz either, her heart raced at just show more the sound of his voice, and she's never found a man who could replace him.
Trix and her friend are then, unexpectedly, dragged into MC troubles, and she is surprised her feelings for him are just as strong and Boz reciprocates.
A second chance for them now is possible, but the MC still can't be avoided, neither can it's problem.

This is my new favourite series and Boz my fave man. Trix also turned out to be a tough cookie, she was great. A great book, the story was steamy hot, it could be brutal at times and also very sad. I loved it! I can't wait for the next in the series. 5/5

First off I have to say I am loving that 4 authors have decided to have each other’s characters show up in their books. In case you didn’t know Chelsea Camaron, Jessie Lane, Emily Minton and Theresa Marguerite Hewitt each have their own MC series and the characters and plots intermix between them.

We’ve all read women being in bad marriages to abusive men but I have to say what the heroine was forced to endure during her marriage was a new one for me. I’ll let the reader find out show more what that was on their own. When she finally gets the courage to leave him she calls her brother who she has been estranged from because of her husband and comes clean about the sick crap she has had to endure for years and why she married the man in the first place. Her brother decides the best place for her is to hide is with one of his buds from the Army, Bowie who is the Vice President of the Savage Outlaws MC.

This book shows the rougher side of the MC life but the story was a good one and with it being blended with the suspense of if her husband would find her, the power struggle going on within the MC, betrayals from within the club and great secondary characters both part of the MC and associated with it in some form I really enjoyed the story and am glad to have found another new series to follow.
