This is an cute book for babies and toddlers. The illustrations are absolutely adorable showing baby animals in various situations. The text is a rhyming sing-song listing facts about either appearance, actions or birth. My granddaughter absolutely loved this book and my great niece and nephew wanted to read it again and again to each other. I liked that the animals were not all the commonly known ones so they learned something about animals such as shrews, sloths and even a platypus. A book show more that would be a hit in any family with young children or a daycare setting. This is a board book so will stand up to little hands. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley. show less
Fabulous drawings of baby animals will entice any reader to linger before turning the page. Combined with a very interesting text about some of the unusual traits of baby animals, this book is a feast for the eyes and nourishment for the brain. Parents will enjoy it, too. Flawless!
I love Australian children's books. Since I'm from the US, wombats, koalas, the Outback, etc. seem exotic and exciting to me. This book is special though - it would work fine if wombat was a muskrat and koala was an otter, too. Funny friends, a not-too-scary adventure, bright clear illustrations, a winner. See if your library has anything by Fuge.
This emotional filled children's picture book tells us the story about a very nice green forest and the animals in it. But just like normal things in our life, something comes and destroyed it. This creature suddenly stops and realized what he had done. The book at that point turns around and this funny looking creature starts building and growing up the forest that he ruined. The animals have run away but the changed around Terrible Greedy Fossifoo knows that they will come back if he show more encourages them.

This picture book shows the children all about feelings that an animals can have and also can turn it around and imagine that it is a child. Children love to play and have fun but strange feelings come up when their toys or dolls are destroyed. This book shows to children different ways of making things better and it also shows them the happy and excitable feelings that children express when things get better. This book shows beautiful and bright illustrations and simple words that children can enjoy and learn from each time they read it.
