This large format book traces the Schneider Cup seaplane races from their inception, until the Italians retired the cup in 1931. Though it seems unlikely, the evolution of the race follows the first clunky flying boats to the sleek 400 mph racers that influenced WWII fighter design. This book is filled with great photographs and important details about aircraft design, pilots and the planes themselves.
