I picked this up secondhand - I've enjoyed Press Gang (a 1990s British TV show about teenagers running a newspaper) and one of the episodes this novelisation is based on is a favourite of mine.
The conversations are great, because they're straight out of the episodes and the conversations are one of the best bits about Press Gang. The prose is more or less what you'd expect from a novelisation aimed at a young audience. Still, it was a bit of fun.
He pulled himself out of his chair and closed show more in on Lynda and Spike. "What is it with you guys?" His voice had an unfamiliar edge to it. "You want to go out with each other! We all know you want to go out with each other. So here's a little idea off the top of my head. Go out with each other! And give the rest of us some peace!" show less
