Excellent resource for the library or archives professional. Thorough and yet not textbook-y. Good reading and a real treasure of information.
Invaluable reference work for the archival student or the archivist (or accidental archivist at a museum or library).
This book is very thorough and detailed. The only complaints that I have are its weight and the fact that its pages are glossy. This makes reading rather difficult.

SAA (Society of American Archivists) recently published a much needed update to this valuable resource. But this older 1984 edition is still good as a resource for working with print photographs.
