A mishmash of quotes from television and movies. Many of them are very obscure - hardly what one would consider a catchphrase. And how is it possible in a book like this to completely ignore the classic quotes from Casablanca like "Play it again, Sam" or "Here's looking at you, kid"? A waste of time and money.
I received this book as a gift bundled with a subscription of Newsweek.
Since I have never used it to look up a specific catchphrase. I believe its not something one would want to look up, but I have occasionally browsed it and found some interesting entries.
I would not recommend actually buying this book unless you have a specific use in mind.
Finally, its a minute detail but personally I was a bit put off by the colour of the book and the spine (other Oxford Paperback Reference books usually show more have a whiteish cover and a blue spine, thiis has a purple one, and thus it's out of place in the series). show less
