We have two copies of this - English and German - and use them constantly. (Now if only I could convince my husband not to keep the English one at his computer. Maybe we need another copy.) Both the pictures and the text are very clear.
In the meantime we have bought other bird guides, and these have been discarded. But they served us well for a very long time.

This is an indispensable guide to identifying wild flowers, with an incredibly useful key to help you narrow down species. Don't wander into the British countryside without it!
A comprehensive guide to wild trees, shrubs and flowering plants covering the whole of Britain and Ireland, plus Europe from the Arctic to the Alps. nearly 2000 species are described, and 1450 are illustrated in colour.
Awesome field guide. Detailed colored illustrations and descriptions.
