I don't know whether I like this atlas in spite of or because of it being 40 years out-of-date. Its focus is on the time when I was a teenager, and that is naturally a time for which one feels nostalgic.
The inadvertently funniest section is that entitled Electoral Patterns. Here are some memorable statements:
". . . past trends suggest that neither party will ever consistently control Utah."
"Utah is clearly a two-party state."
