"PHILIP KOSLOW earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from New York University and went on to teach and conduct research at Oxford University, where his interest in medieval European and African history was awakened. The editor of numerous volumes for young adults, he is also the author of El Cid in Chelsea House's Hispanics of Achievement series and Centuries of Greatness: The West African Kingdoms, 750-1900 in the Chelsea House milestones in Black American History series."
