This work of modernist literature is penetrative. It's raw and original. Graceful, yet chaotic. I find a lot of the subject matter highly relatable. I think most people would, at least to a degree. Poetically, I love the creative themes of the poems, intellectual repertoire, rhymes, arrangements, and rhythmic patterns.
Singleton's poetry is scintillating. I enjoyed the vivid imagery and emotions that each poem evoked within me. The book's overall thematic angle; I feel, is best described as tenebrous and rebellious.
I really enjoyed reading it. It is deep, meaningful, and very well written. In my personal opinion, anyone who enjoys poetry will enjoy this book. It really affects you emotionally. Artistically it is so brilliant. It contains amazing wordplay which makes the reading of it even more entertaining and soulful.
Overview
Jack Rally is an eighteen-year-old boy who is evil and witty. He receives an opportunity from an older film-maker named Mr. Bigsley whose films are films of actual murders. Jack takes the opportunity and runs with it, becoming a master of his murderous profession. Jack, the brutal young man that he is, enjoys murdering and causing havoc in this setting of a more brutal future for mankind and mankind's ways. The tale can be called a psychotic masterpiece and is unique in its content, show more psychological base, and theme.
