I really liked reading this collection even though I am not in the age range it was written for. The dialogue between the characters was fun and realistic.
It was really cool that the girls are all different ages, ranging from nine to fourteen and it adds an unexpected perspective to the story. I also liked how they all had very distinct personalities and came from different parts of the United States.
The character development was great but Bailey and many other characters acted way older show more than their ages.
One thing that was a bit disappointing was that this collection has nothing to do with series order. Instead, the books are sorted by character.
I can 100% say that this would have been a favorite of mine when I was younger.

I am loving reading these collections of mystery stories for young readers! These books are so full of fun and adventure and page turning events. This particular volume of the Camp Club Girls series is by a new-to-me author, Linda Carlblom, and let me tell you that she did a terrific job! I loved every minute of this book.
This collection is Bailey’s adventures. I loved that Carlblom featured The Stanley Hotel in one of Bailey’s stories. As a long time fan of all things Ghost-y, my son show more and I loved watching the Ghost Hunters episode of The Stanley Hotel. Bailey’s adventure there brought back the memories of that for sure. I loved watching Bailey, Kate and Biscuit search for clues, and try to solve the mystery.
That’s just one of the four stories in this collection. Each one features Bailey and one of her camp friends, and they all seek to solve the mystery. Each story is filled with fun for readers of all ages, but are geared toward the ages of 8-14. These stories are beautifully written, and help to teach the rights and wrongs of growing up, along with messages from God.
If you have a young reader in your life, this is perfect for them. They will be captivated and taken on the adventurous fun that these girls have, and will likely want to be just like them. Once again, another modern day Nancy Drew collection for today’s kids. Definitely worthy of 4 stars and high recommendations from this fan!

Linda Carlblom’s “Camp Club Girls: Bailey” 4-in-1 collection includes “Bailey’s Estes Park Excitement”, “Bailey’s Peoria Problem”’, “Bailey and the Sante Fe Secret”, and “Bailey and the Florida Mermaid Park Mystery” with Kate, Alex, Elizabeth, and Sydney each partnering with Bailey, respectively. These mysteries provide just the right amount of danger and suspense to keep girls engaged without being frightening and fall between the Boxcar Children and Nancy Drew show more as far as reading level and intensity are concerned. The Camp Club Girls series has a nice diversity of characters from different racial backgrounds, united by their faith in God and their knack for solving capers. Although each story focuses on an adventure with two of the girls, the rest of the club is always kept up-to-date on the mystery and offers support through research and prayer. Scripture is quoted frequently and woven neatly into each story, and the girls are given a chance to reach out to others and evangelize as they work on each case. However, they do make mistakes, and they have vulnerabilities, which also teaches an important lesson: none of us are perfect.
These stories included several interesting scenarios and settings. From elk stampeding through town to sheep bearing strange messages, from a Native American pottery shop in the desert to Mermaid Park in Florida, there is no shortage of mysteries for Bailey and her friends to solve! They make new friends along the way and help those in need, all while having fun and strengthening their faith. I would highly recommend this series to girls ages 8 and up!

Well written, is pretty much an 8-12 year old girl book, but as a story it was good.
