Gerdi Quist

This was the only one of the four Dutch books at our airbnb that passed part one of my acid test ("Can you find out how to say 'Do you speak English?' in 90 seconds?"), but it did not pass part two ("Is there a pronunciation key?") and seemed blah overall.

This seems like a good, direct guide to the intricacies of Dutch grammar and syntax. Since I have only use it sparingly, I can not truly attest that it is the best or worst, etc. But it sufficed to get me through some translation.
